Day 2: Local sight seeing in and around Cochin
Cochin has been hailed by tourists the world over as the Queen of the
Arabian Sea. Your sight-seeing in Cochin will include the Jewish
Synagogue, the Dutch Palace, the Bolghatty Palace etc. Overnight at Hotel
Day 3: Drive to Alappuzha
Cruise in the splendid backwaters of Alappuzha, which is also referred to
as the 'Venice of the East'. Overnight at Backwater Resort
Day 4: Drive to Karunagapally via Kayamkulam, Ambalapuzha and Karumadi
A small village, Kayamkulam is home to the famed Krishnapuram Palace. An
archealogical museum, the Palace houses the largest ever mural to be
discovered in Kerala, 'Gajendra Moksham'. A popular centre, Ambalapuzha is
also known as the Land of Sree Krishna. The Sree Krishna Swami Temple
dedicated to Parthasarathy is the one of the highly revered pilgrimages of
Kerala. The village of Karumadi is famous for its Karumadi Kuttan, a 135 cm
high black granite figure of Lord Buddha, believed to belong to the 9th or
10th century. The statue, now a protected monument, is housed in a
